In collaboration with InterDrone, the Nevada Institute for Autonomous Systems (NIAS), Nevada State College (NSC) and the City of Henderson are promoting outdoor unmanned aircraft system (UAS) demonstration flights at the Henderson Unmanned Vehicle Range (HUVR) in advance of InterDrone. Several commercial UAS companies will demonstrate different technologies and platforms during the event. The flight demonstrations will be conducted from 8:00 – 11:00 AM on September 5. Individuals from local industry, InterDrone attendees and exhibitors are invited to attend.
The Henderson Unmanned Vehicle Range (HUVR) at Nevada State College provides commercial UAS companies and operators a unique location where they can test their products and technology in a safe and accessible environment. Henderson, NV is now home to the state’s first urban test site through a new partnership with the Nevada Institute for Autonomous Systems, the Governor’s Office of Economic Development and Nevada State College. Experts from the Nevada Institute for Autonomous Systems (NIAS) will provide Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulatory guidance as well as UAS flight support and coordination for UAS companies conducting testing, development and training. HUVR will be open to the public and available to tradeshows for outdoor UAS demonstrations.
