The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) wants drone owners and operators to think twice before paying a company to assist them with their drone registration. The organization says once the drone registration is in place, it will be easy to register a drone, and owners shouldn't need any outside help to file an application.

The upcoming drone registration system is expected to be announced later this month. Currently, an FAA Task Force is working on recommendations for the registration process, and has until Nov. 20 to provide those recommendations.

According to the FAA, there are already some companies out there offering to help owners register their drones for a price, but the Task Force is working on a system that is simple and easy to complete.
