Drone operations software provider Kittyhawk is emerging today with a new flight management platform for fleet operations. Kittyhawk is an end-to-end platform for planning, flying and logging drone operations. The company announced Flight Deck, a new feature designed to provide in-flight drone controls and functionality in real time.

“A core product theme at Kittyhawk is how we can help our customers foster a culture of safety,” said Josh Ziering, co-founder and chief pilot of Kittyhawk. “Flight Desk fundamentally changes how a commercial drone operations function.”

Flight Deck eliminates the need for switching between apps during drone operations while also providing information in real-time. Key features of the solution include real-time telemetry and airspace feedback for manned and unmanned vehicles in the area; real-time feedback and insight for fleet management; automated, private and secure media and data transfers; and integration with the FAA’s 3D grid map system.

Flight Deck supports: DJI Inspire 2, DJI Inspire 1, DJI Mavic, DJI Phantom 4 PRO, DJI Phantom 4, DJI Phantom 3 Series. The company plans to add more features and hardware partners in the future.

In addition, the overall Kittyhawk platform features preflight capabilities, mobile application support, logging capabilities, fleet management features and post flight data and reporting.
